Job summary

Horrocks is seeking a Design-Build Roadway Lead in Tucson, AZ, to head transportation design efforts for freeways, interchanges, and highways. The role focuses on leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering high-value designs for local and regional projects.

You will manage design, analyses, reports, and specifications using Microstation OpenRoads or AutoCAD Civil 3D, while maintaining strong client relationships and meeting deadlines. A PE license and extensive experience are required.

Qualifications

• Current PE license, preferred states UT, NV, AZ, ID, CO, NM, WA
• 10+ years of experience in transportation infrastructure design
• 5+ years of leading roadway design for infrastructure projects
• 3+ years of DOT DB or PDB experience
• Ability to lead and coordinate with multiple teams
• Strong communication with clients and management

Responsibilities

• Lead roadway discipline engineering teams for Transportation DB/PDB pursuits and projects
• Coordinate with other discipline leads
• Integral member of the project management and delivery team
• Lead roadway design, analysis, studies, reports, plans, specifications, and quantity tasks
• Proficiency with MicroStation OpenRoads and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Maintain positive relationships with team members and clients
• Be available for local and Rocky Mountain Region wide projects
• Communicate effectively with clients, staff, and management
• Grow personally and professionally while delivering designs and drawings
