Job summary

Mead & Hunt, Inc. is seeking an Experienced Construction Inspector for projects in Columbia, MD. The role involves providing inspection services for transportation construction projects and ensuring compliance with plans and specifications.

The position requires heavy lifting, outdoor work, travel to sites across the state, and a valid driver’s license. Candidates should have four certifications (ACI, MARTCP, TTCM, E&S, SHA Yellow Card) and a degree or substantial experience in construction

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field plus four years relevant experience OR an associate degree plus six years relevant experience OR no degree with at least eight years relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide inspection services for transportation construction projects.
• Ensure work and materials comply with proposal, plans and specifications.
• Perform required calculations, measurements, and verify weights/volumes as needed.
• Document inspected work daily and prepare as-builds during progress.
