Job summary

Mead & Hunt is seeking an Experienced Construction Inspector for projects in Columbia, MD. The role covers inspection of transportation construction, verification of plans, materials testing, and daily documentation.

The candidate will travel across Maryland, with occasional overnight stays, and must hold key certifications (ACI, MARTCP, TTCM, E&S, SHA Yellow Card). Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s in construction management or related field with four years of relevant experience, or an

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus four years relevant experience, or associate degree plus six years, or eight years without degree.
• A valid driver’s license and ability to travel across the state.
• Certifications required: ACI, MARTCP, TTCM, E&S, SHA Yellow Card.

Responsibilities

• Provide inspection services for transportation construction projects to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
• Perform required measurements, calculations, weights and volumes as needed and document daily progress.
• Prepare as-builts during project progress and perform materials testing when required.
• Travel to construction sites across Maryland; work in various outdoor conditions and extended hours as needed.
