Job summary

Albany Center in Delmar, NY is actively seeking a Medication Room Supervisor for our Assisted Living Facility. The supervisor oversees the medication assistance program (MAP), monitors medication ordering, refills, and the accuracy of the medication pass, reporting to the Administrator.

Requirements include a valid RN license, at least 21 years old, post-high school coursework or college degree preferred, English literacy, computer skills, and the ability to lead a team of six staff members.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid RN license.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Post high school coursework in medical services; college degree preferred.
• Able to read, write, and communicate clearly in English.
• Computer literate with ability to use word processing programs.
• Familiarity with the needs of the infirm and elderly.
• Be self-directed with ability to lead and supervise others.
• Able to compute simple mathematics relating to dosage.
• Be well organized and capable of setting goals and meeting deadlines.
• Serve as a role model for a support staff of 6.

Responsibilities

• Oversee MAP and medication pass processes for residents.
• Audit accuracy of medication pouring and blister packing.
• Ensure alignment between physician orders, blister packs, and dispensed meds.
• Schedule staff and ensure attendance and task compliance.
