Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) bilingual or diverse, a leading academic medical center, is seeking a Registered Nurse II for the Medical/Surgical ICU. Minimum one year RN experience; BSN preferred, with licensure in SC or a compact state.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred.
• RN staff hired on or after 2013 with an Associate or Diploma in nursing must enroll in BSN within two years and obtain BSN within four years.
• A minimum of one year of work experience as a registered nurse required.
• Licensure as a registered nurse by SC Board of Nursing or a compact state.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care to patients using the nursing process (assess, plan, implement, evaluate).
• Directs and leads other team members and collaborates with multidisciplinary team to provide age/developmentally appropriate care.
• Maintains a safe, therapeutic environment and participates in professional practice model and shared governance.
