Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina seeks a Registered Nurse I to deliver individualized, goal-directed care to patients and families, guided by the nursing process. You will lead a care team, collaborate with multidisciplinary staff, and ensure a safe, therapeutic environment within the MUSC standards.

Minimum RN experience of one year is required; a BSN is preferred, with ADN/Diploma holders enrolled in a BSN program within two years and completing within four years.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred.
• RN staff hired on or after July 1, 2013 with an Associate or Diploma degree in nursing must enroll in an accredited BSN program within two years and obtain BSN within four years.
• Minimum of one year of work experience as a registered nurse required.
• Licensure as RN by SC Board of Nursing or a compact state; current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Direct and lead other assigned team members and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide age-appropriate care.
• Coordinate care, health teaching, and promotion while upholding standards of care and professional accountability.
