Job summary

U.S. Bank in Minnesota seeks an experienced risk and control professional to lead the risk environment for trustee and custodial relationships in Institutional Services. You will collaborate with partners to advance an enterprise risk management approach and work with RCA managers to oversee the risk framework.

Qualifications

• Typically more than six years of applicable experience.
• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
• Knowledge of trustee and custodial services
• Knowledge of Registered Investment Advisor rules
• Knowledge of ERISA and retirement plans
• Knowledge of fee administration and receivables
• Knowledge of client asset pricing and valuation
• Knowledge of cash management and disbursements
• Knowledge of corporate actions and asset servicing
• Knowledge of digital asset initiatives and advisor and fiduciary services
• Considerable knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, financial services, and regulatory trends
• Considerable understanding of business line operations, products/services, systems, and associated risks/controls
• Thorough knowledge of Risk/Compliance/Audit competencies
• Strong analytical, process facilitation, and project management skills
• Effective presentation, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Effective relationship building and negotiation skills
• Proficient computer navigation skills using Microsoft Office applications, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations
• Applicable professional certifications
• Ability to comply with U.S. Bank policies and procedures, including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and workplace conduct and safety policies
• Subject to applicable employment eligibility verification and background-check requirements

Responsibilities

• Lead the pursuit of an effective risk and control environment for trustee and custodial relationships in Institutional Services.
• Collaborate with internal partners to drive an enterprise risk management approach for key business line challenges.
• Partner with the assigned line of business, Risk/Compliance/Audit Managers, and other RCA professionals to create, implement, maintain, review, or oversee an effective risk management framework.
• Participate in projects and activities ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
• Identify gaps and inform solutions that minimize losses from inadequate internal processes, systems, or human errors.
• Identify, respond to, and eliminate risks as appropriate.
• Serve as a functional liaison between the line of business and the lines of defense.
• Support risk management related to trustee and custodian services, Registered Investment Advisor rules, ERISA and retirement plans, fee administration and receivables, client asset pricing and valuation, cash management and disbursements, corporate actions, asset servicing, digital asset initiatives, and advisor and fiduciary services
