Senior Risk Manager, Transportation Risk and Compliance

Join Amazon as a Senior Risk Manager, Transportation Risk and Compliance and help design, implement, and monitor risk mitigation strategies to enhance customer experience and safeguard Amazon’s brand.

This role involves working closely with Amazon's global transportation teams to develop initiatives and frameworks supporting carrier partners in meeting legal, contractual, and safety standards. You will analyze metrics, processes, and programs to assess health and develop remediation plans, communicating findings clearly to senior leadership. You will partner with cross-functional teams to manage workflows, set objectives, and drive risk-reduction business changes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and manage scalable frameworks for process improvement
• Conduct compliance data deep dives and report findings to leadership
• Develop KPIs and manage critical compliance metrics
• Lead Weekly and Quarterly Business Reviews
• Define, develop, and implement risk programs with measurable outcomes
• Lead projects to completion timely and effectively
• Build successful partnerships across teams for tactical and strategic initiatives
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
• Utilize data and insights for tactical and strategic decisions

About The Team

Transportation Risk and Compliance (TRC) oversees risk management for Amazon’s transportation operations across 24 countries, ensuring compliance with safety, legal, and contractual standards to support business growth and public safety.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• 6+ years in compliance, audit, or risk management
• Experience influencing cross-functional teams without direct authority
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office
• Experience communicating with senior/executive leadership

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with technology, lean principles, Six Sigma
• Developing standards, policies, and programs
• Data analysis skills using Excel, Hubble, Alteryx, or similar
