Job summary

GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy Americas LLC is seeking a Risk Manager to lead quantitative risk analysis across multiple nuclear energy projects. You will drive the development of risk plans, identify and mitigate risks, and govern risk governance processes using industry-standard tools such as SAFRAN.

The role requires strong leadership, hands-on Primavera experience, and the ability to manage complex issues while traveling up to 20% of the time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science from an accredited university.
• Proficient in using industry standard tools for Risk analysis involving Monte-Carlo simulations – such as SAFRAN or equivalent.
• At least 6-8 years of relevant work experience in nuclear or power industry project management, risk management, project controls, or related areas.
• At least 3 years of risk management or project controls experience.
• Solid understanding of power projects life cycle, project risk management principles, technical/financial/contract terms.
• Ability to handle many complex issues/projects concurrently.
• Willingness to travel 20% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Lead Quantitative and Qualitative Risk Analysis across multiple projects using SAFRAN and other tools.
• Develop and manage Risk & Opportunity identification, mitigation actions, and follow-ups across the project life cycle.
• Demonstrate leadership, communication, and collaboration within the organization at all levels.
• Coordinate cross-functional alignment with Project Management, PMO, and other stakeholders on risk priorities.
• Lead risk-related daily management routines, reviews, reporting, and trend analysis.
