Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Sr. Risk Manager with DG experience to establish regulatory frameworks and operational controls for DG shipments across air, ground, and ocean lanes. The role spans US, EU, UK, and Japan, with onsite work and international travel required.

Build country-specific standards, partner with Legal, and train teams to ensure safety and compliance across the Global Mile network. The candidate will engage with senior leadership, drive continuous improvements, and maintain up-to-date

Qualifications

• 5+ years of compliance, audit or risk management experience.
• 5+ years of program or project management experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Experience in verbal and written communication for executive level leaders.
• Knowledge of IMDG, 49CFR, ICAO/IATA, or region specific accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Create DG enablement roadmaps and business requirements for new product launches across different transportation modes.
• Maintain subject matter expertise to advise leadership on regulatory requirements across countries.
• Conduct regulatory assessments across multiple countries for international DG transportation and develop country-specific hazmat requirements.
• Develop operational procedures to ensure safe and compliant transportation of DG.
• Create and deploy training materials for operations teams across modes.
• Define DG performance frameworks and monitoring dashboards for multi-modal transport.
• Conduct site-specific assessments across facility types.
• Support launch readiness and compliance auditing post-launch.
