Job summary

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is seeking a Risk Manager for the NISSC 3 program in Colorado Springs. You will lead identification, assessment, tracking, and reporting of risks, issues, and opportunities, and drive mitigation strategies to keep leadership informed of risk posture across the program.

You will coordinate risk working groups, develop management artifacts, and ensure QA/QC alignment in a mission-critical environment. A Top Secret/SCI-ready profile and CSSP certification are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, CS, IS, Data Science, Software Engineering or equivalent DoW/military training.
• Active Secret clearance at the time of hire; ability to obtain TS/SCI as required.
• CSSP certification in accordance with DoW 8140/8570 for the appropriate role category.

Responsibilities

• Lead risk working groups; coordinate discussions with technical and program stakeholders to ensure risks are documented and managed.
• Identify, analyze, and assess risks, issues, and opportunities across technical, schedule, cost, and performance dimensions.
• Develop and track risk mitigation and contingency strategies; monitor effectiveness and adjust as needed.
• Maintain risk registers and risk management artifacts per program standards.
• Develop and deliver risk management plans, status reports, and leadership briefings.
