Job summary

AdventHealth in Daytona Beach is seeking a Risk Management Professional to lead regulatory surveys, monitor event data, and support patient safety initiatives. You will integrate risk management with quality and safety activities, investigate incidents, and drive root cause analysis across hospital operations.

Qualifications include a health-care-related Bachelor’s, 3+ years in healthcare risk/claims, and relevant clinical background. RN/ACNPC/RRT/OT/PT/PA/PARA/RPH/CPHRM credentials required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a health care related field.
• Licenses: RN, ACNPC, RRT, OT, PT, PA, PARA, RPH, CPHRM (required)
• 3+ years clinical experience in a healthcare-related field
• 3+ risk management or claims field experience (required)
• Experience in process improvement, patient safety, and quality activities
• Ability to work in a matrix environment and manage multiple teams
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

• Manage regulatory surveys related to complaints against AdventHealth and Risk Management Program Surveys.
• Monitor, analyzes, and reports aggregated event data to hospital leaders, focusing on risk exposures for trends or patterns.
• Identify, investigate, and report risks; facilitate Root Cause Analysis and Action process.
• Develop, implement, and maintain educational risk management programs for personnel and leadership.
• Assess operational and clinical risk across assigned areas.
• Develop, manage, and administer facility-wide risk identification, investigation, and reduction systems.

Manages regulatory surveys related to complaints against AdventHealth and Risk Management Program Surveys. Monitors, analyzes, and reports aggregated event report data to hospital leaders, focusing on risk exposures for trends or patterns. Other duties as assigned. Serves as a resource to hospital administration, employees, and physicians on Risk Management, legal, and ethical issues, including off-hour and holiday coverage as needed. Integrates the risk management program with the quality and safety activities of the assigned areas. Identifies, investigates, and reports, facilitating the Root Cause Analysis & Action process. Develops, implements, and maintains educational risk management programs for all personnel and leadership on identified issues and related activities as required by law. Assesses operational and clinical risk across assigned areas. Develops, manages, and administers facility-wide systems for risk identification, investigation, and reduction.

• 3+ risk management or claims field [Required]
• Claims management/litigation prevention and healthcare risk management process [Preferred]
• Experience in process improvement/patient safety/clinical risk management/quality activities [Required]
