Job summary

New River Electrical Corporation seeks a Senior Risk Manager to lead the ERM program, captive study, and insurance/claims functions. The role reports to the Senior Vice President and General Counsel and may be based in Strongsville or Granville, Ohio.

You will supervise two staff, partner with finance, safety, HR, and legal, and drive risk-management initiatives across the enterprise to support strategic objectives and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; degree in risk management, insurance, finance, business, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive risk management, insurance, or claims experience, including at least 2 years of direct supervisory or team-leadership experience.
• Captive insurance experience or familiarity with ERM frameworks is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage the Enterprise Risk Management program and report to senior leadership.
• Lead captive insurance feasibility study and coordinate with actuaries, managers, brokers, and legal advisors.
• Own and administer the company's insurance program, renewals, certificates of insurance, and surety/bonding processes.
• Oversee claims management across all lines of coverage, coordinating with carriers and external counsel.
• Review contracts and customer agreements for insurance, indemnification, and risk allocation provisions.
