Job summary

Stripe is seeking an experienced data analyst to drive the data strategy for risk as a product offering. You will define metrics, data products, and analytical frameworks, partnering with Product, Engineering, and Risk leadership to align data investments with the road map.

You will own risk metrics, build scalable pipelines, ensure accuracy, and evolve the risk experimentation strategy while mentoring junior analysts and communicating findings to senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Data Analytics or Data Science.
• Experience defining data strategy across multiple teams.
• Experience designing experimentation frameworks for complex, multi-variant systems.
• Deep expertise in SQL; proficiency in Python.
• Ability to translate ambiguous business problems into structured analyses and communicate findings to executives.
• Experience building scalable data products (metrics frameworks, pipelines, dashboards).

Responsibilities

• Define metrics, data products, and analytical frameworks for risk as a product offering.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Risk leadership to align data investments with the product roadmap.
• Own the definition, reliability, and visibility of risk metrics and establish a canonical set of north star metrics.
• Build and maintain scalable pipelines and governance for accurate insights.
• Evolve risk experimentation strategy and measure impact of policy changes and merchant journeys.
• Mentor and raise the bar for Data Analysts on the team.
