You will oversee control execution, partner with business leaders, and drive modernization using AI and automation while mentoring talent.

In this first-line-of-defense role, you will coach a 4–5 person team, advance control testing, and deliver clear governance insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Military Experience is required.
• At least 5 years of Risk Management, Audit, or Compliance experience.
• At least 3 years testing controls in Risk, Compliance or Audit.
• At least 2 years of people management experience.
• At least 2 years of experience automating banking processes and controls.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coach a team of 4–5 risk control advisors, setting high testing standards and adopting new risk tools and capabilities.
• Oversee first-line control testing across the Commercial Banking control portfolio with thorough evaluation and clear documentation.
• Advise design, implementation, and optimization of internal controls with business stakeholders.
• Lead modernization and AI integration initiatives for automated monitoring and analytics.
• Identify deficiencies, propose remediation, and report risk insights to leadership and governance forums.
• Communicate complex risk concepts clearly to drive alignment across defense lines.
• Ensure timely delivery of goals in a dynamic environment with attention to quality and detail.
