Qualifications

• Seven or more years of extensive claims experience in a senior-level, individual-contributor role.
• Knowledge of liability claims administration, including litigation avoidance.
• Understanding of medical treatments, tort venues, and jurisdictional issues; strong investigative skills.
• Proven negotiation, problem-solving, and independent decision-making abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software (Word/Excel).

Responsibilities

• Personally investigate and manage the company's claims; work with insurance companies to set claim reserves.
• Identify claims requiring escalation during intake and gather information for resolution.
• Directly manage property damage, auto damage, and workers' compensation claims; coordinate with defense counsel and attend mediations as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service to insureds/claimants by phone and correspondence.
• Prepare statistical reports of claims activity and lead file reviews as requested.
• Ensure the company takes measures to minimize losses and comply with regulations.
