Job summary

Pacific Gas and Electric Company in Oakland is seeking an experienced risk management professional to support an effective safety risk program. You will develop and implement a risk framework, analyze risks, and coordinate with asset owners to track enterprise risks and mitigation effectiveness.

Responsibilities include preparing materials for management, leading risk workshops, and driving best practices across PG&E. A Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of risk management experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Seven (7) years of experience in risk management, utility operations, and/or related field.
• Masters degree or equivalent experience desired.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience desired.
• Risk Management certification desired.
• CQE-Certified Quality Engineer certification desired.
• Safety Engineering certification desired.

Responsibilities

• Works with PG&E Operations business clients to develop, implement, and monitor risk mitigation activities and controls.
• Develops and presents risk mitigation alternatives to Operations departments.
• Prepares presentation materials for various levels of management, including executives.
• Supports development of best practices in risk management across PG&E.
• Owns risk register and coordinates updates with Asset Family Owners and Risk Champions.
• May participate in enterprise risk management forums and coach less experienced analysts.
• Leads root cause analysis exercises and implements risk management framework across Operations.
