Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a Data Scientist V to lead strategic data science initiatives in Government Programs risk adjustment. You will design end-to-end data pipelines, develop features for ML models, and deploy production-ready solutions across Medicare Advantage, ACA, and Medicaid programs.

You will mentor junior data scientists, collaborate with clinical, actuarial, and operational teams, and translate complex insights into actionable guidance for executives and technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years experience with Exploratory Data Analysis and visualization.
• Minimum five years machine learning and/or algorithmic experience.
• Minimum five years statistical analysis and modeling experience.
• Minimum five years programming experience.
• Minimum three years experience in a leadership role with or without direct reports.
• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Public Health, or related field AND Minimum eight years experience in data science or a directly related field.

Responsibilities

• Leads design and development of data pipelines and automation for data acquisition and ingestion from multiple sources and formats.
• Develops problem statements outlining hypotheses and outcomes for clients/customers.
• Transforms data into features for machine learning models, trains models, and deploys them in production.
• Partners with stakeholders to deliver statistically driven outcomes and present findings to leadership.
