Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in Oakland seeks a Data Scientist V to lead end-to-end data science solutions for Government Programs risk adjustment, spanning data pipelines, feature engineering, model development, and production deployment. Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years experience with Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) and visualization methods.
• Minimum five (5) years machine learning and/or algorithmic experience.
• Minimum five (5) years statistical analysis and modeling experience.
• Minimum five (5) years programming experience.
• Minimum three (3) years experience in a leadership role with or without direct reports.
• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Public Health, or related field AND Minimum eight (8) years experience in data science or a directly related field. Additional equivalent work experience in a directly related field may be substituted for the degree requirement. Advanced degrees may be substituted for the work experience requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of data pipelines and automation for data ingestion from multiple sources.
• Develop problem statements outlining hypotheses and effects on clients.
• Transform data into features for machine learning; train models.
• Deploy and maintain reliable models in production.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver data-driven outcomes.
• Mentor junior data scientists and promote data-driven culture.
