Job summary

SEI is seeking a Business Development Director to lead client acquisition and activation for the RIA channel and manage territory growth. Based in Chicago, IL, this role partners with marketing, product, and service teams to drive assets and relationships across advisor clients.

The position emphasizes deep RIA market knowledge, multi-channel client engagement, and leadership of a sales-focused team to expand SEI’s custody, technology and investment-management solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years in financial services client sales and service support.
• Experience in RIA channel sales.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or related field.
• MBA and/or CFP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead business development and territory management for SEC-registered RIAs in the RIA channel.
• Collaborate with Account Executive to drive territory strategy and growth; mentor junior sales professional.
• Deliver SEI ecosystem—custody, technology, asset management—to drive net new business growth.
• Influence buying decisions and expand scope with existing clients and prospects.
