Job summary

Empower is seeking an experienced Writer Marketing RFP professional to independently manage the end-to-end proposal lifecycle across retirement plan services and professional sectors. You will craft compelling responses, coordinate with sales and subject matter experts, and ensure timely, high-quality submissions.

The role requires strong writing, editing, and project management skills, plus the ability to mentor teammates and maintain a robust content library in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism or related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years of proposal development experience in retirement plan services or professional services.
• Experience coordinating all facets of proposal development: content, review, production and QC.
• Proficient English writing, grammar, punctuation and formatting.
• Strong interpersonal, project management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire RFP process from receipt to submission within timelines.
• Draft and edit proposal documents ensuring timely, high-quality responses.
• Coordinate with sales and cross-functional teams to develop custom responses.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and conduct client/industry research.
• Lead cross-functional projects and provide peer reviews and mentoring to junior staff.
• Maintain content library and update tracking systems for real-time reporting.
