Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC in Irvine, California, is seeking a motivated Sr. RFIC Layout Designer to join their innovative team. This position involves working with a cross-disciplinary team to develop technologies that enable future explorations outside of Earth.

The selected candidate will be responsible for layout designs, leading integration for custom analog and RFIC circuits. Compensation includes a competitive salary ranging from $135,000 to $195,000 annually, with benefits including stock options and medical coverage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering and 5+ years of professional experience as an IC layout designer.
• Ability to perform layout of custom RF and analog circuit blocks with attention to matching and minimizing parasitic capacitance.
• Must have strong understanding of layout considerations for device matching, coupling and noise isolation.

Responsibilities

• Work with circuit designers to determine the chip floor plan.
• Accurately estimate the layout schedule and identify complexities.
• Perform design rule checking, electrical rule checking and resolve errors.

Skills

Strong analog layout skills

Experience in advanced node IC layouts (22nm, 16nm, 7nm, 5nm)

Experience managing revision control systems

Experience with circuit design

Excellent communication skills

Education

Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering

5+ years of professional experience as an IC layout designer

Tools

Skill programming

Shell scripting, Perl, Python

Working knowledge of Linux
