Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a Lead RF Engineering Technician II in Richardson, TX. You will support the MMIC Technology Center, developing GaN/GaAs MMICs for defense electronics, including radar and space systems, and transition designs to production.

You will lead RF characterization, test fixture design, and complex failure analysis, while collaborating with engineering to document findings and maintain test assets.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (minimum).
• 8+ years RF experience.
• 6+ years with RF/microwave test equipment (VNA, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes).
• 6+ years in S-parameters, large-signal, stability, and noise figure measurements.
• 6+ years of precision work under a microscope with sub-micron geometries.
• Ability to read schematics/layouts/technical drawings.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• RF characterization of MMICs and MCMs (PA, LNA, signal control).
• Set up/calibrate test equipment; perform S-parameter, power, NF, two-tone tests.
• On-wafer testing; design/assembly of RF test fixtures.
• Wire bonding of test assemblies; precision assembly work under microscope.
• Troubleshoot RF circuits; document results in reports.
• Maintain lab documentation, calibration tracking, and asset management.
• Support production transition and lab procurement activities.
