Job summary

Mercury Systems is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Test Engineer III to design and develop test procedures for RF/electronic assemblies on the manufacturing floor. This role focuses on supporting production through process improvements, debugging unhealthy WIP, and driving RCCA initiatives to enhance quality and reliability of Mercury's defense-grade electronics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or manufacturing engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in manufacturing test engineering, RF module testing, or related high-reliability environments.
• Proficiency in RF/Microwave, analog, digital, and mixed-signal testing at module/component level.
• Experience with RF test equipment: signal generators, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers.
• Ability to design and implement test procedures for production settings.
• Familiarity with RCCA investigations (5 Whys, 8D) and data analysis (MATLAB, SPC).
• Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Test Procedure Development: create and refine test procedures for RF/electronic assemblies.
• Production Support: work with manufacturing to improve processes and efficiency.
• WIP Debugging: troubleshoot unhealthy WIP to ensure on-time delivery.
• RCCA Execution: investigate defects and implement corrective actions.
• Automated Testing Support: develop and implement automated test solutions with cross-functional teams.
• Technical Documentation: maintain test specifications, processes, and reports.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: coordinate with engineering, operations, and programs.
• Compliance and Standards: adhere to MIL-PRF-38534, MIL-STD-883 and related standards.
