Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Rolling Meadows, IL is seeking a Sr. Principal Electronics Engineer - Manufacturing Test Engineering (RF Systems).

You will lead test development from requirements through validation, collaborating with Design, Test Hardware, Quality, and Manufacturing teams in a fast-paced environment. The role requires a BS in Electrical/Computer Engineering with 8+ years (or MS with 6+ years), strong hardware troubleshooting, Cadence, RF testing, and lab tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering or related STEM field with 8+ years experience, or MS with 6+ years.
• Experience with hardware troubleshooting and test issues.
• Experience with schematic generation such as Cadence.
• Ability to complete hardware projects on schedule and budget.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
• US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Design Engineering, Production, and QA to test and solve nonconformance for acceptance testing and environmental screening.
• Design, integrate, and validate test stations and fixtures.
• Develop and maintain Manufacturing Acceptance and Environmental Screening procedures.
• Support continuous improvement to reduce cost, cycle time, and defects.
• Collaborate with multiple leadership levels, clients, and vendors.
