Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Sr. Project Engineer for Communications Systems and Payload Systems Engineering—RF. The role focuses on C2 RF systems, antennas, and SDR subsystems, with end-to-end problem solving for MILSATCOM performance and anti-jam capabilities.

You will lead technical assessments, brief senior government and Aerospace leadership, and guide cross-organizational teams to deliver robust RF solutions in a national security context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 12+ years of antenna/RF design, analysis, and testing experience.
• Experience in SDR, waveform, signal processing, or satellite terminal engineering.
• Experience supporting DoD or IC space system programs.
• Strong communication skills for briefing senior audiences.
• Willingness to travel domestically up to 10%.
• Active Secret clearance with eligibility to obtain TS/SCI.

Responsibilities

• Serve as program SME in C2 RF system, antennas, SDR subsystems.
• Solve MILSATCOM problems end to end: link performance, interference, anti-jam.
• Evaluate competing terminal architectures and lead integration/testing.
• Lead project teams and brief leadership with clarity and brevity.
• Translate findings into decisions that shape future mission capability.
• Support NC3 customers and stakeholder community.
