Job summary

Blue Origin's Lunar RF Systems group seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to design mixed-signal electronics for space-rated communications products and contribute to the development of Blue Moon landers. You will collaborate with RF, DSP, FPGA, and software teams to ensure robust performance from concept through flight readiness.

You will lead design, analysis, and testing across boards and systems, and work with procurement and PM teams to secure parts and schedule milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years experience or Master's with 6+ years experience
• Experience developing high-speed mixed-signal circuits for aerospace applications
• Experience with high-speed ADCs, DACs, PLLs, DDRs, NAND/NOR flash, and FPGAs
• Knowledge of signal and power integrity, grounding topologies, and high-speed PCB layouts
• Experience with FMEA and worst-case analysis
• Experience with Hyperlynx or Ansys SIWave for signal/power integrity analysis
• Schematic capture and PCB layout in Altium Designer

Responsibilities

• Develop analog, digital, and power circuits for RF systems including software-defined radios and low-noise amplifiers
• Own lifecycle from concept through flight readiness with quality and performance
• Design, manufacture, and test high-reliability PCBs for RF systems
• Develop power management solutions like DC/DC converters for harsh environments
• Create test plans and perform root-cause analysis on discrepancies
• Coordinate with thermal, mechanical, and radiation testing teams
• Work with PM team on parts selection, vendor selection, and schedules
