Job summary

Two Six Technologies is seeking a Senior RF Systems Engineer to develop software for DSP/SDR systems in Herndon, Virginia. You will lead architecture design, software development, testing, and debugging for R&D programs, with autonomy to define toolchains and SDR platforms.

The role emphasizes RF signal generation, protocol analysis, and reverse engineering, collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced prototyping environment. Active TS/SCI eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility required.
• Degree in engineering, math, physics, or computer science or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 5 years of DSP and SDR development experience.
• Extensive RF reverse engineering experience including deriving transmission parameters.

Responsibilities

• Reverse engineer COTS devices to map reception logic and generate downlink messages via simulated signals.
• Reverse engineer RF protocols, isolate, analyze, and decode PRN codes.
• Synthesize and generate custom RF waveforms from reverse-engineered parameters.
• Detect, identify, and decode captured RF waveforms and complex signals.
• Implement SDR solutions in Linux and work with COTS platforms for rapid prototyping.
