Job summary

Two Six Technologies is seeking a Lead RF Systems Engineer to shape RF architectures and drive DSP/SDR development for terrestrial tactical radios in Herndon, VA. You will lead architecture decisions, mentor multi‑disciplinary teams, and oversee lab infrastructure to validate complex signals across HF, VHF, and UHF bands.

You will work on waveform synthesis, protocol reverse engineering, and advanced RF signal processing, collaborating with customers and internal stakeholders in a fast‑paced

Qualifications

• Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required.
• Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Math, Physics, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 8 years of hands‑on DSP, SDR, and RF development, including technical lead roles.
• Deep knowledge of terrestrial RF systems, channel dynamics, and signal structures across HF/VHF/UHF.
• Extensive RF reverse engineering, signal parameter estimation, protocol disassembly, and waveform regeneration experience.
• Proven track record architecting software‑driven DSP pipelines using C++, Python, GNU Radio, or REDHAWK with real‑time DSP.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement advanced SDR and DSP solutions for terrestrial radios in Linux.
• Reverse engineer RF devices to map transceiver logic and demodulate legacy waveforms.
• Synthesize and generate tactical RF waveforms based on parameters including LPI/LPD signals.
• Develop algorithms to detect, identify, and decode signals in multipath environments.
• Implement end‑to‑end transmit/receive chains with various modulation schemes.
• Lead lab build‑outs, select SDR hardware, and validate synthesized signals.
