Job summary

Two Six Technologies is seeking a Principal Radio Frequency Engineer to join our Embedded Security Research team in Virginia. You will lead advanced DSP/SDR system design, mentor engineers, and reverse engineer RF protocols for embedded security programs.

Deep expertise in COTS platforms, signal synthesis, and Linux-based DSP workflows is essential. You will contribute to proposals, budgets, and lab infrastructure while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• 9+ years of experience in DSP, SDR development, and RF reverse engineering.
• Proven capability to serve as a technical lead and mentor engineering staff.
• Experience reverse engineering complex RF protocols and COTS devices.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical planning, architecture, and software execution for DSP/SDR systems.
• Provide SME mentorship across cross-functional engineers in communications, signal collection, and EW.
• Reverse engineer RF protocols and implement custom RF waveforms for simulations.
• Guide lab build-outs, select SDR platforms, validate signals with RF test equipment.
• Lead technical sections for proposals and white papers, including scheduling and budgets.
