Job summary

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. in San Diego is seeking a RF Systems Engineer to contribute to RF system architectural design, radio transceiver specifications analysis, and SW/FW algorithm design.

You will develop IC specifications, bring up complex features, and collaborate with RF systems, RFIC and SW teams. The role requires strong programming (C/C++, Python), plus hands-on experience with RF concepts, system modeling and debugging across HW/SW firmware.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in a related field with related work experience.
• 5+ years programming experience (C/C++/Python) and system design.
• Experience with wireless/embedded systems and RF concepts is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop IC specifications and system algorithms with ASIC designers and system engineers.
• Bring up complex system level features in collaboration with the ecosystem.
• Interact with RF systems, RFIC and SW teams to analyze radio system aspects.
• Sustain efforts for ongoing chip designs with spreadsheet/Matlab analysis.
• Support Applications Engineering to solve RF system issues on customer platforms.
• Present to technical audiences and write technical reports.
• Contribute to chipset integration of HW/SW/Firmware.
