Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sr. RF Silicon Software Engineer (Starlink) to join the RFIC team and own silicon software across a high-performance wireless system. You will bridge hardware and software, drive first-power-on activities, and build robust driver libraries and test platforms.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team on RF silicon life-cycle—from requirements through production ramp-up—supporting satellite phased-arrays and user terminals with strong ownership and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering or computer science.
• 5+ years of professional development experience in C, C++, or Python.
• Experience with RF measurements, automation software, hardware development, and embedded firmware is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Solve challenges related to RF silicon on the in-house RF silicon designs.
• Bring up new RF silicon as the first engineer to power on chips.
• Design and build modular software driver libraries for low-level silicon control focusing on timing, throughput, and performance.
• Develop hardware test platforms (HTIL/HIL) and validate silicon driver software on hardware or FPGA simulators.
• Support software integration into flight software teams for satellite phased-arrays and user terminals.
