Job summary

MITRE Corporation in the United States is seeking an experienced antenna systems engineer to design, model, and evaluate RF/Satcom antennas for national security missions. You will collaborate on digital engineering architectures and assess threats to enable warfighter operations.

The role requires 5+ years of related experience or equivalent, hands-on HFSS/CST/FEKO usage, and an active Top Secret/SCI clearance. On-site work four days a week is expected.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with relevant experience who can immediately contribute at this job step; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in antenna theory and design, specifically in the context of Satcom systems.
• Proficient in the use of antenna design and analysis software (e.g., HFSS, CST, FEKO).
• Strong understanding of RF principles and electromagnetic theory.
• Experience with modeling and simulation tools for predicting antenna performance.
• Must have an active Top Secret/SCI U.S Government issued Security Clearance. Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• This position requires a minimum of 4 days a week on-site.

Responsibilities

• Analyze the design of RF and Satcom antenna systems for operational systems.
• Conduct modeling and simulation to predict antenna performance in various environments.
• Support the development of digital engineering architectures for Intelligence applications related to Satcom systems.
• Participate in end-to-end effects chain analysis to assess adversarial threats and mitigation strategies.
• Engage in experimentation and prototyping of new antenna technologies.
• Stay informed of advancements in antenna and Satcom technologies relevant to future operations.
• Develop tailored engineering-level Intelligence assessments based on adversary systems for R&D and acquisition activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand how adversary integrates antenna systems with satellite payloads.
