Job summary

Commonwealth Fusion Systems is seeking an RF Electronics Engineer to design and validate control boards, high-power RF amplifiers, and power electronics for SPARC. You will translate architecture into robust hardware and collaborate with software, RF, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration.

The role requires a hands-on engineer with circuit simulation, PCB design expertise, and experience mitigating EMI/EMC challenges in high-noise, high-power environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years in power electronics or RF design.
• Proficiency with circuit simulation (SPICE) to validate designs.
• Excellent PCB design skills using Altium.
• Experience mitigating EMI/EMC in high-power environments.

Responsibilities

• Architect and design control boards, power supplies, sensing circuits for RF amplifiers.
• Collaborate with software, RF, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to integrate designs.
• Draft technical specs for vendors and internal teams.
• Run advanced simulation/modeling of circuits and power systems.
• Build and bring up prototypes on the bench, transition to full system.
