Job summary

Commonwealth Fusion Systems is seeking an RF Electronics Engineer to lead design and validation of high-power RF and control electronics for the SPARC RF plant.

You will work hands-on from benchtop bring-up to full-scale operation, designing control boards, power supplies, sensing circuits, and EMI/EMC mitigation strategies while coordinating with software, RF, mechanical and manufacturing teams to ensure system integration and reliability.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience designing power electronics, control boards, or RF support circuitry.
• Experience with high voltage environments and safety considerations.
• Proficiency in circuit simulation to model and validate designs.

Responsibilities

• Architect and design custom control boards and sensing circuits for high-power RF amplifiers.
• Collaborate with software, RF, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to integrate designs.
• Write technical specifications for vendors and internal teams.
• Perform simulations and modeling to validate electronics architecture and EMI/EMC performance.
• Assemble and bring up prototypes and transition designs to full operation.
