Job summary

Nokia is seeking senior/principal staff hardware power amplifier engineers to join the Radio Development R&D Team in the US. You will contribute to the full lifecycle of 5G/6G base station development, designing RF/microwave circuits and high‑power amplifiers to meet specifications and industry standards.

You will apply amplifier classes, matching networks, and state‑of‑the‑art tools (ADS, HFSS, Microwave Office) while exploring AI/ML, virtual design, and cloud‑enabled workflows to shorten

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering with RF/microwave focus.
• Strong RF/microwave theory and practical design.
• Experience with high‑power GaN device technology.
• Proficiency with CAD tools such as Mentor Expedition or ADS layout.
• RF/Microwave simulation using ADS, ANSYS, HFSS, Microwave Office.
• Hands‑on experience testing high‑power RF amplifiers in lab.
• Nokia radio products experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop RF/microwave circuits and power amplifiers to meet specs.
• Implement RF amplifier classes and matching networks using advanced techniques.
• Perform simulations and analysis with industry tools.
• Test, troubleshoot, and optimize RF components for reliability.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate PA into RF radios.
• Stay current with AI/ML, virtual design, automation, and cloud computing.
