Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC is seeking a Sr. PIT RF Communications System Payload Integration and Test Engineer to lead verification and validation of the RF system for a large satellite constellation.

You will work with cross-functional teams to define tests, analyze data, and drive improvements from concept through on-orbit verification. The role requires hands-on experience in RF systems, baseband to antenna hardware, and a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading the design, automation, deployment, and support of large-scale infrastructure.
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust.
• Experience with Linux/Unix.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes.

Responsibilities

• Working within a project team and taking responsibility for a high bandwidth, low earth orbit communications satellite constellation.
• Deep-dives into component and subsystem designs to document expectations, evaluate tests and remedy test failures.
• Collaborating with software, mechanical, modem, and compliance teams to validate system- and network-level operations.
• Integrating the end-to-end RF communications system and meeting with customers to select components.
• Defining test plans for lab, RF chamber, and on-orbit payload verification.
• Analyzing and mitigating self-interference and other system issues.
• Configuring test equipment for automated operation and RF link budgeting.
• Interpreting test results and performing root-cause analysis for failures.
• Documenting test coverage and KPI metrics; communicating status with developers and managers.
