Job summary

MACOM in Milpitas, CA is seeking a Senior Applications Engineer to work with customers, marketing and sales for successful sales completion via direct support for telecom and datacom products. This role involves data collection, creating technical documents, and collaboration with customer labs across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Minimum a BSEE; MSEE preferred.
• At least 5 years in electrical design or semiconductor applications.
• Strong ability to lead technical discussions and present product features.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills are essential.
• Experience with 100G/200G/400G optical testing and systems.
• Background in mixed signal or analog design; lab instrumentation experience.

Responsibilities

• Be the primary technical support contact for customers.
• Provide training materials, data sheets, eval boards, and notes.
• Assist with design, system debugging and analysis.
• Review reports and perform engineering analysis on customer systems.
• Develop competitive technical solutions with colleagues.
• Manage multiple projects and ensure timely support.
• Ensure accurate external and internal reporting and communication.
