Job summary

MACOM seeks a Senior/Principal Electronic Design Engineer to develop and improve RF/microwave and photonics components for defense, data center, and telecom applications. You will lead design from concept through production, including prototype builds, characterization, and collaborations with cross-functional teams.

Ideal candidates have a strong background in RF circuits, board design, and firmware coordination, with 10+ years of relevant experience and an ability to navigate high-yield,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, physics, or similar studies.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in relevant electronics / photonics design engineering.
• Senior / Principal title will be assigned based on the experience of the candidate.
• Due to ITAR regulations, only candidates who are U.S. Persons will be considered for this position.

Responsibilities

• Design, draft, test, and release new electronics products, devices, circuits, and/or systems.
• Develop and write test and assembly plans and procedures.
• Transfer products to production with Product Engineering group.
• Lead prototype builds and product characterization; design evaluation boards and fixtures.
