Job summary

MaxLinear is seeking a Senior Manager or Director of RF/Mixed-Signal Design to lead the Irvine & Carlsbad team delivering IPs for 200G and 400G data-center SERDES. You will own concepts through tape-out, set design-readiness standards, and coordinate with Systems, Digital, CAD, and Technology teams.

You will grow the team, hire senior talent, and present roadmap and status to executives and customers, ensuring performance, reliability, and manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Extensive analog/mixed-signal or RF IC design experience in advanced CMOS, with a proven tape-out and productization record.
• Proven record of growing engineering teams, including hiring senior talent.
• Strong communication and executive presentation skills and customer-facing experience

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and grow the RF/Mixed-Signal Design team in Irvine & Carlsbad that develops IPs for 200G and 400G data center SERDES applications, including DSPs, Drivers, and TIAs
• Work closely with senior technical leads and be involved in design and architecture selection
• Develop the team through coaching, performance management, and career growth
• Own execution from concept through tape-out and production release: schedules, staffing, risk, and delivery
• Set design-review and tape-out readiness standards for quality and manufacturability
• Work with Systems, Digital, CAD, and Technology teams to improve design flows and methodology
• Work with customers from development through release to production
• Represent the team in executive technical and business reviews
