Job summary

Tampa Microwave, a Clearwater, FL-based manufacturer of military-grade satellite terminals, is hiring a Production Test Technician III. The role focuses on RF/ microwave test, alignment, and troubleshooting for high-volume production.

The position requires significant experience with RF test equipment, calibration, and lean manufacturing, with on-site work and potential travel. A US security clearance and English fluency are required.

Qualifications

• AS degree or military equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in the integration and test of complex digital/microwave hardware.
• Ability to obtain and maintain US Secret Level Security Clearance upon hire.
• Some domestic travel may be required.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Provide test and problem-solving skills to meet monthly/weekly shipment goals.
• Brief manager on training, tools, test equipment, and documentation impacting orders.
• Onboard and train temporary and permanent technicians as directed.
• Ensure integration and test processes conform to released documentation and metrics.
• Use lean principles to improve throughput and reduce costs.
• Perform scheduled maintenance, calibration, and adjustments of RF test equipment.
• Test and align RF products for weekly/monthly shipments.
• Mentor other technicians when needed.
• May work outside as required.
