Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking a Principal Member of Technical Staff RF Design Engineering to join the RF Design team in Santa Clara, CA. You will design RF switches, tuners and LNAs for 5G FR1/FR3 and Wi-Fi, perform layout, extraction, simulations, and pre-silicon verification while ensuring high yield and reliability.

The role involves documenting designs, validating results with test plans, and engaging with customers to showcase technology capabilities and benefits.

Qualifications

• MS or BS in electrical engineering with extensive relevant experience.
• Strong background in RF front-end concepts and cellular/Wi-Fi systems.
• Experience with RFSOI technologies including tapeouts of relevant circuits.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop RF switches, antenna tuners and LNAs with supporting analog/digital blocks.
• Perform schematic design, layout, parasitic extraction, and pre-silicon verification using standard CAD tools.
• Characterize devices to ensure manufacturability, reliability, and ESD performance.
• Create design documentation and trade-off analyses; communicate results to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Engage with customers to communicate capabilities and translate requirements into reference designs.
