An established industry player is seeking a Senior Development Engineer to join their dynamic team in Coppell, TX. Summary Of Job Functions
Under the general direction of the Supervisor Engineering Development, the Senior Development Engineer is responsible for developing and supporting repair operations in Coppell, TX. This on-site role involves creating test procedures, overseeing testing, and collaborating with technicians and customers to resolve issues. The engineer will also participate in remote training and other duties as assigned.
Key Responsibilities And Duties
Conduct end-to-end activities for new repair projects, including research, test plan development, and training. Collaborate with the TSC Production team to resolve escalated technical issues. Assist technicians in troubleshooting failures, collect data, perform Failure Mode Analysis, and improve testing processes. Manage scheduled maintenance and calibration of testers, develop and modify testing documentation, and ensure test equipment standards. Support day-to-day operations through troubleshooting and debugging, both on-site and remotely. Lead small teams to meet project schedules and performance goals. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Key Competencies
Relevant telecommunications knowledge is a plus. Must excel in multitasking, analysis, organization, and think creatively for testing solutions. Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and proficiency in MS Office are required. Attention to detail, report writing, system testing knowledge, and project management skills are essential.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or at least 5 years of relevant experience. Experience with repair lab equipment, wireless radio components, RF principles, wireless networks, and 3GPP standards is highly preferred. Familiarity with RF test equipment and programming languages such as C#, Python, or JavaScript is required. Flexibility in duties and occasional travel may be necessary.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
