Job summary

Lam Research in California seeks an experienced electrical engineer to design, develop and evaluate RF delivery systems for embedded platforms. You will collaborate with electrical, mechanical, software, and process teams to ensure robust, testable solutions for electro‑mechanical subsystems.

The role requires strong background in EM theory, RF metrology, and high‑voltage design, with hands‑on experience in SPICE, LabVIEW, MATLAB and RF tools. Hybrid work options available in the Bay Area.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 3 years with a Master’s, or PhD without experience.
Knowledge of EM fields theory and RF metrology (Power Meters, Network-, Impedance- and Spectrum Analyzers).
High voltage design rules/practices DC – 100MHz are desirable.
Experience with SPICE, LabVIEW, MATLAB or HFSS/Comsol tools is preferred.
Experience in plasma processing or related plasma knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform professional electrical engineering research, design, development, modification, and evaluation for electrical and electro‑mechanical systems/subsystems.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams (electrical, mechanical, software, process, technical support, suppliers).
Design, selection, testing and documentation of RF delivery systems (100kHz to 100MHz; Watt to Kilowatt ranges).
Prepare and analyze test plans and procedures to ensure requirements are met and demonstrated.
Collect and analyze data for design reviews and program reviews.
