Job summary

Cubic Defense is seeking an experienced RF engineer to lead hardware development for AESA and RF beam forming systems. You will calibrate RF systems in an anechoic chamber and design RF architectures to meet complex customer requirements.

You will act as CAM, oversee budgets and schedules, and integrate hardware, software, and firmware for customer demonstrations. The role requires hands-on lab leadership, extensive RF design and testing, and collaboration with engineering teams to deliver

Qualifications

Four-year degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master’s welcomed.
5+ years RF design, lab testing, and AESA experience.
Experience with RF firmware for performance tuning.

Responsibilities

Lead hardware development of AESA, digital beam forming and analog beam forming systems.
Calibrate multiple RF communication systems in RF Anechoic chamber.
Design RF architecture to meet customer requirements with engineers.
Serve as CAM, owning RF team budget and project schedule.
Lead lab integration of hardware, software, and firmware; demo to customers.
Create CCA block diagrams, identify components, simulate circuits, and layout boards in Altium; use HFSS/Spice/Genesys/HyperLynx/Visio.
Coordinate relocation of mmWave Anechoic chamber and expand Ka-band test capability.
Manage suppliers for PWB fabrication and CCA assembly; coordinate with supply chain.
