Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking a Senior Engineering Technician to support design, test, and qualification of RF and oscillator products within the Frequency and Timing Systems group.

Based in Central Pennsylvania (1st shift 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM), you will build prototypes, troubleshoot issues, and assist with NPI and production activities in a regulated environment. U.S. Person status is required due to ITAR.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of electronics or engineering technician experience.
• Experience building and testing electronic prototypes.
• Familiarity with production yield, quality issues, and RMAs.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with design engineers to build, test, and evaluate prototypes.
• Interpret schematics and assist with schematic entry and documentation updates.
• Support NPI activities, prototype build, validation testing, and product qualification.
• Troubleshoot production yield and quality issues; support root-cause analysis.
• Develop test specifications, ECOs, and engineering documentation.
• Support production operations through automated tools and data analysis.
