Stellant Systems, Inc. is seeking an experienced Active RF Design Engineer to lead design, development, and production troubleshooting for space-qualified RF modules in Torrance, CA. The role focuses on high-performance RF assemblies using SMT and chip-and-wire construction across multiple programs.

Responsibilities include schematic design, specifications for RF PAs and assemblies, and hands-on testing. Collaboration across disciplines will drive proposals, development, and flight hardware

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in physics or an engineering discipline.
• 4+ years RF/microwave engineering experience (senior level options 6–9 yrs).
• Experience with RF test equipment and software tools.
• Experience with PDR/CDR/MRR/TRR milestones and qualification of RF devices.
• Space hardware experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Design and schematic capture of RF/electronic circuits and overall product.
• Develop functional specifications for RF power amplifiers and assemblies.
• Support proposals for existing and future products.
• Design tweaks for new active RF products.
• Ensure die, bond wire layout meets requirements.
• Set up and calibrate RF test bench for testing (gain, power, NF, VSWR).
• Develop automated sub-system testing methods.
• Design matching networks for power amplifiers using nonlinear models.
• Support production builds on development hardware.
• Lead root cause investigations for built hardware.
