Varda Space Industries in El Segundo, CA, is seeking a Senior RF Components Engineer to own the full lifecycle of RF components, from selection or design to flight qualification. You will partner with RF Systems Engineers to define specifications and rigorously validate hardware before space deployment.

You will build test software, own HITL testbeds, and mentor junior engineers while advocating ownership and high-quality electronics that fly repeatedly.

Qualificações

• B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
• Hands-on RF testing experience with relevant equipment.
• Experience designing and integrating RF components into signal chains.
• Proven ownership of projects from concept to test and flight readiness.
• Proficiency with Python; familiarity with PyVISA for test equipment control.
• Experience standing up HITL testbeds and managing configuration control.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as Responsible Engineer for RF flight components (radios, PA, antennas, filters).
• Collaborate with RF Systems Engineers to refine specs and oversee lifecycle.
• Document cross-functional interfaces with Flight Software, Structures, and I&T teams.
• Own product acceptance and qualification testing for space environments (Thermal, Vibration, EMI).
• Develop test software to automate equipment and measure performance.
• Conduct root cause analysis on test failures and implement mitigations.
• Mentor junior engineers to raise the bar for future leaders.
