Job summary

Rocket Lab is hiring a Senior RF Design Engineer I at our Long Beach, CA headquarters. You will design and simulate RF products, including the Frontier-Lite Radio, and work with the radio development team in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a strong mix of RF engineering, system design, and board/circuit design skills, with a preference for experience in space-grade hardware and government programs. US citizenship and TS/SCI eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant RF design experience.
• Experience in space-grade RF products desirable.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain RF product requirements.
• Design and prototype RF products including PCB layout.
• Develop test plans and procedures for RF products.
• Support development of GSE and production automation.
• Create product documentation (ICDs, user manuals).
• Collaborate with Test and Manufacturing Engineers on New Product Introduction.
