Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a subsidiary of Motorola Solutions, is seeking a Senior RF Design Engineer to develop RF subsystems for the StreamCaster product line. This on-site role in North San Diego involves designing RF to baseband circuits and leading PCB layout efforts.

You will diagnose EMI issues, optimize performance, and ensure regulatory compliance while collaborating across a multidisciplinary team. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years of multi-GHz RF hardware development experience.
• Strong knowledge of RF board layout, fabrication, and packaging.
• Hands-on EMI, harmonics, spurious, and stability problem solving.
• Experience with RF simulation tools (AWR Microwave Office, Altium).
• U.S. Person required due to federal contracts.
• Background check and drug test required.

Responsibilities

• Design RF to baseband subsystems for the StreamCaster product line.
• Lead antenna to RF subsystem design using discrete circuitry or RFICs.
• Supervise schematic capture and PCB layout.
• Characterize RF performance, tune, and troubleshoot.
• Ensure EMI compliance and regulatory pass.
• Assist manufacturability improvements and yield issues.
• Travel occasionally to Irvine or West LA.
